Benoît Bodhuin and David Bennewith

Meeting-Point-11-typo

Meeting Point #11

Benoît Bodhuin is a graphic designer, type designer and teacher. An undecided career path – first mathematics then graphic design – a free practice and an interest in typography define him. Curious about everything, his favourite fields are the drawing (and customisation) of typefaces, graphics and everything else.

David Bennewith is a New Zealand-born graphic designer and design researcher based in Amsterdam. Under the name Colophon, he works on research and commissioned projects focused on type-design and typography. He has done extensive research into New Zealand type design, particularly the work of Joseph Churchward, publishing a monograph on him in 2009. Bennewith was a professor in the Communication Design Department of the Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe, 2013-2015, and, since 2015, is head of the graphic design department at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam.
